In my workshop

Lots of people ask me what kind of paint and power tools I use to get my projects done... I thought I would share a few of my day to day must have tools and products...

I've used tons of different paint and paint types... I prefer the valspar ultra in a paint and primer as well as the Clark & Kensington by Ace (which is rated in top 5 for best interior paint for 2013) also Valspar is buying out Ace so all of their paints will soon be valspar and even better news,  "little to none voc"...

I prefer to use a flat paint...

I've also used a ton of sanders, and yes they get a ton of use and I have burned some completely out.. Two of my most favorite that I have in the shop now are the dewalt and the craftsman vibrafree orbital...

I love my dewalt power drill... It gets used a ton...

And believe it or not this little pink drill is in my pocket at all times for those hard to reach places..

Occasionally I use a chalk paint by cece Caldwell and milk paint by old fashioned milk paint co.. Love them both.. I also make my own chalk paint which is super easy and works great!! (See my blog post on DIY paint recepies)

I finish my projects a with a wax or a poly.. I prefer a water based poly, it's clear, no yellowish tint.

Also love this all natural wax by daddy vans, and it smells great!!

When I stain I prefer a gel stain by old   Masters..

I use a paint sprayer by Graco, they are a bit more expensive then the others but well worth the investment... I love this sprayer... Smooth professional looking finish...

And lastly my favorite paint stripper is the citric trip... Smells so yummy and doesn't burn the skin... I paint it on then let it sit overnight, paint literally peels right off the piece with no effort...

Well I have tons of products that I use, the ones above are just a few of my favorites..
would love to hear about your favorite products and tools, feel free share yours in the comments below...
